Unreachable file in Recent File List causes SnagIt Editor to freeze

I opened a JPG file on a network drive a few days ago and since then SnagIt Editor has been terribly slow and unresponsive for at least 10 seconds every minute or so.

Cleared entire Library which didn't help, now I found out SnagIt keeps a reference to the file in the registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\SnagIt\18\SnagItEditor\Recent File List

After removing these entries, lock-ups are gone. Make sure you close SnagIt Editor when you do this and kill the process in Task Manager if it's not closing properly.

Suggestion for the developers: remove entry from Recent File List as soon as the file is unreachable.

What would be nice would be if the developers built in a right-click that could be used on the Recent Files list that would allow us to delete from there.

Or a message dialog indicating that SnagIt cannot locate one or more files. And, of course, a dialog option that allows clicking a check box to have SnagIt just either remove the entry or ignore it (in the event it's on removable media).

Cheers... Rick :)
