Unwanted Quiz marker drives me crazy!

I appreciate that some people want a quiz in their videos. I however don't and whenever you accidentally click on your timeline, the darn Quiz markers are added whether you want them or not, which you have to manually delete every time.

Please, why can't I disable it permanently?  (Ctrl-Q is just a half-baked solution). I see many, many posts on the internet about this frustration. Just add a setting toggle for that or perhaps users must enter Ctrl-Q to add a Quiz marker and not by clicking on?!

Thank you for an otherwise great program!

turn off the quiz track [ctrl-Q] or the marker track [ctrl-M]

when these tracks are hidden, you can'y accidentally add one when clicking the timeline

also, when you close/open Camtasia, close those tracks; you'll be so much happier

Thanks for the suggestion! The problem however seems to come back every time I launch Camtasia?

Camtasia remembers the state of the tracks when exited; they will be reflected when next launched

so always make sure they are closed when exiting

Ctrl+Z is also your friend, as I feel your pain :)

Thank you for the answers -  Kyakman I am not sure if I am missing something, but every time I open a new project the Unwanted Quiz marker problem is back?!   Thanks Chris for the old CTRL-Z  trick - forgot about it - still the quickest!

what version of Camtasia?

are you, before exiting Camtasia, using ctrl-Q to close an open quiz track?

just tested this on my Camtasia 2019; my suggestion works
