This morning we had a TechSmith-wide release which included the release of TechSmith Fuse a new mobile app, TechSmith Snagit for Google Chrome, Snagit, and Camtasia.

We believe everyone should be able to create content to share what they know and help others. We believe in turning viewers into collaborative participants, to help shape & improve ideas. We believe in making you productive across multiple devices and platforms with simple user experiences.

At TechSmith we enable you to capture images and videos so you can communicate visually, with greater precision and impact than any other way.

The latest version of Camtasia Studio and Camtasia for Mac includes many improvements that help you share your story, including integration with Google Drive and TechSmith Fuse.

You can update your software by going to Help > Check for Updates

Did the fix for erroneously using Windows temp folder during MP4 creation make it into this release?

Sorry, no.  The 820 release was frozen a couple weeks before your post to report the Windows temp folder issue.  I did discuss this with the team.  We have a bug open for it, and we'll try to fix it in a future release.

Fuse is a nice start but the best camera/video phones on smart devices are on Nokia Windows Phones. Camtasia Studio, being largely a Windows app, I would love to see (need) Fuse on Windows Phones.

This update made it so Camtasia Studio can no longer use videos created with the Quicktime format. I reverted back to the older version because of this.

Yes. In this thread, Mr. Mojek, an official rep for TechSmith said that they are aware of a memory leak in 8.2 and will have a fix for it in the next maintenance release. In the meantime, you can revert to a previous edition to avoid the issue.

Hi Dave,

I went back to v2.5.1 and I am running OSX 10.9... Everything seems in working order again.

What I forgot to clarify is that the TS FUSE was the app  - it is not bothering me too much at the moment, probably a glitch. But, thanks for the info Seth, I will change back if it persists.
