Lots of great changes in CS8. But one area that seemed to get overlooked was the audio formats permitted. The program only recognizes sample rates up to 44kHz and bitrates of 16 and 8. These are very old specs in professional production environments. Now I realize CS is not an audio production tool, so I'm not looking for added fuctionality. But for compatibility with the default formats in most audio software, the permissible thresholds should be at least 48kHz, preferably 96, and 24-bits, preferably 32. This would save us the extra steps and time of downsampling our final audio work for import into CS8 if that's what we need to do. (Not to mention the obvious improvement in audio quality.) Thanks.
