Updating a version is very complicated

Great software, I love snagit. However, the process of updating to a new version does not flow nicely and many like myself must find it confusing. It will be a long time before I pay money to update again.  As an example: I had to actually sign in 3 times to get to 'my products' only to find nothing was there, no mention of my old version nor the one I had just bought. I paid for a new version and had a trial version for the first few days? Please get some laymen to go over the process with a humble common sense programer and please make it flow seamlessly, so even us that is not as smarte as y'all can figured it out. Why not have a customer portal where all my products are and I update and pay from there.
Love the Snagit software, (five stars) !

I am not sure if I understand your predicament. The trial version of every Techsmith product on their website is always the most current version. When you pay for the trial you have the ability to register your SnagIt key, and you then will receive notices for free updates for minor revisions to the software.

Thank you for this feedback; I am sorry for the complication. The teams keep an eye on this forum and will be able to take your experience into consideration when making future changes. Thank you for using Snagit! Please let us know if you have any additional feedback or questions.

Thank you for your interest in my thoughts, I really love the product . I suppose our expectations get raised and we get spoiled from Commerce Sites that make the purchase experience smooth and easy.

Hi lacouveesports,

We've definitely been working towards this, but I don't know how long it will be before we are finished.

The first part of this which has been rolling out over the last year or so is the idea of a TechSmith account. So that you only have one TechSmith account that you login with instead of different accounts for our Tech Support site, Feedback site, Screencast.com, etc. You may have noticed that this also now applies to the store. This is part of the ground work to improving the end-to-end purchase/upgrade process so stay tuned :)
