Upload to Youtube - Data Request Error

Hello, I was recently trying to upload a clip to YouTube. It rendered fine, and went through the whole process of uploading to YouTube, and at the end, it said "An error has occurred, data request error." Does anyone know how I can fix this? It's happened like, 4 times in a row and I don't know what to do.

Go to YouTube and manually upload it from your computer when you are logged into YouTube.

I did that, but it's such a big hassle. It used to work for me, and know all of a sudden it's doing this. I upload frequent videos, and doing it the manual way takes twice as long. I wish they could just fix this or tell me what's wrong. -.-

Hi Kyle,

I suspect you may be getting this error if your Google account is set up for two-step verification. Is that the case?

Hey Josh,
Thanks for the response, but unfortunately, that is not the case. I believe, since YouTube and Google are connected now, that my YouTube account doubles as my Google account? Either way, I went to google, signed in with my YouTube credentials, and it said Two-Step verification was off. Any other ideas?

Sorry about that, Kyle. I looked into this a little further and seems that the google two-step verification problem typically results in a different error message than the one you're seeing.

A few others seem to have had success by using their email address as their login rather than their username. You might try that if you haven't already.

If that doesn't work, you can try opening a ticket with our tech support. Here's where you would do that: https://support.techsmith.com/home

Hi,

What exactly is not working? If you are getting an error for some reason, is it during the production process or the upload process?

Please log in to YouTube via your Web Browser and see if you can manually upload the produced video that way.
