USB Mic input - Sounds like 'Mickey Mouse'

I'm running Camtasia2 version 2.10.8 (91893) on my iMac (OS 10.12.5). I've connected my Zoom H4N audio recorder as a USB audio interface for my Sennheiser gun mic to record voice while recording a screen demonstration. Audio is set to 44.1Hz, 16bit.

Problem is that no matter what I do the audio sounds high pitched (like Mickey Mouse). I have reduced the screen capture rate to 15fps without any difference. Has anyone experienced this before and/or can offer me a solution.

Using the Zoom H4N with all other audio products like Logic and Garage Band work fine, so the issue is definitely with Camtasia.

Thanks.

Hi Lester;

The issue is likely that you are using the H4N as an interface; Camtasia does not officially support audio interfaces. If you plug a USB or 3.5mm microphone directly into the Mac, bypassing any interfaces, do you have the same issue?
