Using Jing, issues with using Flash

I use Jing to do quick screenshot captures, as well as few-second video captures. Now Flash is going away... how will Jing/TechSmith/Screencast handle this change? How will I be able to share a quick coupla-sec video to someone (such as help desk)? Please advise.

Hi there

First off, note that I'm not affiliated with TechSmith, so this is just another person's opinion.

As Jing is a free product and TechSmith doesn't make money on it, I'd be very surprised if they were to enhance it in any way. They already killed off the paid version of it. So I'd expect they might say your logical path forward is to consider buying a license for SnagIt.

I have the same issue as Kent and I would welcome the opportunity to discuss Jing with you.
