Version 2019.1.2 vs. 2019.1.3.3847 & Issues

What Version am I on & Toggling Properties for the Sidebar.

Windows gave me a message to update to Snagit 2019.1.2. It then installed 2019.1.3.3847. I assume I am on the latter.

Several releases ago when I clicked Highlighter > Properties I received a Side Bar with the appropriate properties. To turn off the Side Bar, Properties was clicked again. The toggling of Properties made it easy to use.

Along came another release and changed that. To close the Side Bar one has to click View > Side Bar. That is very inconvenient. I was hoping the release I just installed would go back to the original method of toggling Properties to turn it on and off. Alas, that does not work.

Why was the toggling feature removed, and when will it come back? It was very convenient and it worked well. BTW, this is also the same for many other Toolbar icons.

Thank you,

Do you use OneClick? If not, then you will have to open 'SnagIt 2019' and select 'About' from the 'Help' menu. Your version should be listed there.

Regarding the 'Properties' toggle, that issue has been brought up by others. See the following, for example; https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/restore-ability-to-hide-properties-by-clicking-on-pr... The same applies for 'Effects.' It used to be a 'Toggle.'

That is exactly where I got the version number I posted. I wanted to make sure that was legitimate as it did not match the update notice from Microsoft Notifications.
