Version tracking of edited video content in Camtasia for Mac to avoid necessary duplication of large files

Is there any functionality available within Camtasia to maintain version tracking/history of edited video content?  Today, it seems I need to make complete copies of the project file which is obviously not very efficient in terms of disk consumption.

Apologies in advance if I'm being overly ignorant of the inner workings of Camtasia, but it would be great if there was some form of capability to maintain timeline versions, from the media included in the project.

For example;
  1. I create a new video that is some form of educational resource for a software product and export it
  2. There is then a minor tweak to the software or a revised 'best practice' where I edit the file and export a revised version, but being able to some how retain the configuration of the previous timeline

Project files can easily run in to GBs in size, so maintaining any history become costly in terms of disc space.

I'm working on a project called Spresso iVersionIt designed for versioning creative projects. A  programmer using Git or other versioning tools can work but they are very complex. I'm creating the app to be very simple to use. Early information is http://leadingswmaniacs.com/spresso-iversionit.html
