Very dissapointed in this version (13). Program is no longer available on the edge of the screen. I must use hot keys or re-run from the icon bar. Still exploring, but this seems to be a step backwards.

While your may not be alone on your appraisal, many items from Snagit 12 and earlier and not 'transferred' by default.

Program from edge of screen can possibly be re-enabled. Right-click Snagit on Tray Icon, select Preferences > General Tab > Show OneClick

Does that assist?

Yes, that brought it back. I'm still evaluating the changes from 12 and how they affect my use of the product. So far, I'm not seeing this as a step forward, but I'm hoping it will grow on me.

Hello DataDoc,

Thank you for trying the new Snagit. Have you watched any of our video tutorials to help you get past the learning curve?

I think if you commit to using the new version for the 15 day trial, I believe you'll come to see and value the new features and the overall workflow improvements. Two things that might not be readily apparent at first.

If you do this and find you still don't like it, then going back to your previous version is always an option.

We appreciate you are willing to give the new version a go!

You can re-enable the "one-click" capture that I believe you're talking about. The change is that it's off by default in Snagit 13, but the tool still exists.

Here's a document that explains how to turn it back on:
