This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: Let us designate the number of seconds to extend a frame Camtasia Studio 8 and ripple move content to the right

Kudos to Camtasia team for the neat UI in version 8!

However, I am immediately missing "Extended frame duration" dialog or any ability to precisely set the duration of the frame instead of straining my wrist to drag an edge until the duration is what I need.

To make matters worse, if I create an extended frame in the middle of a timeline (so that there are a lot of elements following it), it is almost impossible to adjust the extended frame duration, because I have to manually select each and every element that follows and then drag and drop them to make way for the frame, and position exactly at the time when the frame would end.

So much trouble instead of simple numeric entry.

The workaround is to change "default extended frame duration" in the settings every time before inserting an extended frame.

Cheers,
Igor

Apparently, according to another thread, this feature was removed because so many people complained about it!

There's no "default extended frame duration", is there? Grrr...
