Snagit 2020 for Windows: Create Video from Images ...
How do I change the dimension of the canvas for the video?
I select two images 1280x720 but size of the video becomes 2912x1638 with the selected imaged displayed small in the middle and can't find any way to change the dimensions.
I want a video with the same size as the selected images.
How do I change the dimensions of the video to fit the selected images?

So, unfortunately.

The way this tool works is to record your screen. It's not a traditional video/image editor.
So what you capture is dependent on your monitors/screen resolution.

In this image I used my 2560 x 1440 monitor.I selected two 6000 x 4000 pixel images. Based on screen real estate, I get this off the wall 1984 x 1116 resolution video.
A huge border I cannot resize or turn off.
Plus, my highly detailed 4000 x 6000 images have been downscaled to 1000 x 1500 pixels.

On my 1920 x 1080 monitor. The images are reduced to 600 x 900

Combine two small images on a large monitor. It creates a huge border. Using the image at 100% scale.

This tool is not what it should or could be.

You cannot re-scale the user Interface to get a better outcome/capture area.

As soon as you combine the images. The editor automatically converts to full screen.

I'm extremely disappointed with it, I thought I might be able to use it professionally.

With the automatic re-scaling and unbalanced borders.
Odd video dimensions that create non-traditional video aspect ratios.

It make the creator look like an amateur. The quality  is questionable at best.

Thanks, Joe! Yes, it's below sub-standard for a Techsmith tool. Should never been released like this. Pretty much useless. Hope someone from Techsmith follow up this.

You would think it would be easy to add a slider to zoom in or out of the selected videos you are about to turn into a video.

I was creating an image and I was like HTF I change the the video canvas size and arrived here after searching.

What a useless option, I think this is a bug because I can see the yellow line around, it just has the anchors missing, so I am reporting this.

As old-timers of this forum know well, hoping for Camtasia-level features in SnagIt is a waste of time.

Are you suggesting drawing on images that are to scale and in focus is asking to much?

When the word "video (canvas)" is used in the SnagIt forum, I've learned empirically that it calls for grief.

You lost me.
"Create video from images" is the name of the feature.

Not, Create blurry videos from images.Which is what you actually do. {:>)
