Video has to be visible for SnagIt to record it?

After using Replay Video Capture for many years and after much frustration, I bought SnagIt 2019 only to find that to record a video it must be visible which of course means no other activities are possible while SnagIt is recording. Also, I found it impossible to log in to this site with Google Chrome but OK with Firefox, any answers as to how to do it in Chrome?

I don't use Chrome normally. I just logged in using my Get Satisfaction account without issue. You may have encountered a temporary glitch?

 I use Internet Download Manager. I don't record videos in the background.
Close to 100% of all videos on the web can be downloaded very fast. In my experience. https://www.internetdownloadmanager.com/

Theres a number of advantages to using it. Faster downloads, resume and schedule downloads. Might be something worth considering.

You should be able to login without problems when using Google Chrome. The service that powers this message board is sensitive to extensions or settings that block third-party cookies so that might be your problem.

Our software does in-fact only record what's visible on your screen. Snagit does have a lot of other functionality (take a look at our tutorials). Hopefully you have some other use for it, but if you do not, we do have a 30 return policy.

Thank you both for your replies. I will have to accept no background recording but why am I able to login with Firefox but not with Chrome?

I have been experimenting and it appears it will work if I turn off “Block third party cookies’ in Google Chrome. Could this be the answer?
