When I use my MP3/4 clips in camtasia the video won't carry over to the clip bin, only the audio does. I also get an error stating the clip will not produce correctly or something. I thought maybe it was the media player I was using but I've tried VLC, 5k player, windows media, and the free one that comes with windows 10, nothing works. Please help.

Hi there

Perhaps try downloading HandBrake and transcoding the clips?

After you transcode, try inserting the new version of the clip.

Cheers... Rick :)

By calling it a mp3/4 clip, are you referring to a mp4 video that has a mp3 audio track?  Rick is correct.  Handbrake is free and works great, but is a bit advanced for the general user.  I'd suggest as an alternative that is a bit easier to use.  AVS Video Converter.  There are so many variables in the video production / export world and CS is set up for the standard video format mp4 so well, most of the time issue reside in the export of the original file.

The only thing that has crashed my CS in the past is lack of resources in my computer or alternate video file types and encoding.  Vimeo has great resources for exporting video from different software.  Here's the one for Handbrake.  Very short tutes
