Hey Jim, I'm not sure I 100% agree that Camtasia needs this. Camtasia is a specialty screen capture and annotation tool, whose focus is on making and editing screen recordings.  As such, the inclusion of stabilization would only benefit a small percentage of customers, while diverting funds and development time away from features that would appeal to a wider audience.

There are lots of great software programs out there designed specifically for video editing that include "image stabilization" and there are also "Professional" image stabilizer tools that deliver outstanding results.

With a bit of googling, you'll find you can stabilize your videos before bringing them into Camtasia - maybe even with a free tool like ffmpeg (http://adaptivesamples.com/2014/05/30/camera-stabilisation-with-ffmpeg/).
