I've been a long time Camtasia user and never had this problem before. Only difference is I've now installaed camtasia 6 on a Windows 7 machine (before it was Windows XP)
I've recorded a short 30 second video but find that the voice and video are out of synch. (voice seems to be a second ahead of the video). I see this in the "preview" windows after stopping the capture. I'm not seeing any dropping in the recording. I've tried saving in different formats, I've tried different rates as well. PC is high spec and nothing much else running. Display is 1600x900 but also seen the same problem when I dropped the screen res.

Any ideas?

Hi Grant,

Are you recording screen with audio or camera with audio? Any details on the computer (duo core?) For screen recording, try turning off Aero theme and see if it helps; for camera recording, click the "Format settings..." buttom and lower down the "Frame Rate" (eg: from 30 to 15) and see if it helps.

Thanks,

Kevin

This was screen with audio, i5-2520M CPU @ 2.5Ghz 8GB Ram 64 bit
I tried the frame rate already at 15 and 30 and 45 - not difference. However I installed Camtasia 7 and it all worked ok -

Related to this, I screen recorded a simple movie with 'record system audio' engaged. When brought into C8, the length of the audio was slightly longer than the video! So, any further assets added after this on those tracks will run slightly out of sync.
