Video Won't Render Properly

I'm using Camtasia Studio Version 7.0.1 (Build 57). I can't seem to render my videos any more. I'm working on the same project that I was last Thursday, but now the videos won't render properly.

Doesn't matter what I set the production settings to, the video will start to render, but doesn't get past 1.0%, and then immediately jumps to 100%. This is a 24 min long video, and the last one took about 3-4 min to render. Now it renders in 10 seconds and only plays about 5 seconds of the video. Please help!

Also, I can't seem to use the "Record PowerPoint" option today either. It will only let me "Record the screen."

Hi Adam,

It sounds to me like the best way to resolve this will be to contact our Tech Support team. You may need to create an account and then open a ticket here: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/uti...

They'll get back with you in one business day. It might prove helpful to attach your actual project (File > Export Project as Zip) so they can investigate.

Adam, you will definitely want to get the 7.1.1 update installed since your copy of Camtasia Studio is outdated. And yes if you would submit a support ticket we can take a look at your issue and see what might be causing it.

I would love to install the update, but working for a larger company, we always get updates well after they're released (still using IE7 and FF3.5, too). Another of my associates had the same issue last weekend.

I finally was able to render it properly, but now the audio isn't present. I'll just submit a support ticket and see what they can do for me. Thank you both.

I had the same problem and I was able to solve it. Looks like some programmer forgot an "if" - at least for my solution.
The problem was that the disk was almost full (Tools -> Options -> Temporary ...).
When I changed that to a drive with enough space it worked.

I have been having the same exact problem as mentioned above and have upgraded from the the 7 to 7.1.1 and still can't render anything past 1.2% then it jumps to 100%. This was all of a sudden as 2 days proir everything worked great. I also have more than enough space and memory on my computer so I can't see that being a problem really. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kevin.

Thanks for such a quick reply Kelly but I actually figured out the problem and it was totally my fault of course. LOL! I had recorded a 1hr and 30 minute live webcast and didn't change my default drive to my external hard drive, so after 45 minutes everything just recorded the audio. I ran out of drive space and didn't notice because I left my laptop for over 2 hours and when I came back everything seemed like it worked. Anyways 45 minutes was salvageable and I have actually recorded and rendered over 2 hours with no problems just so people know its possible. You just need to have the space ie...500 - 1TG hard drive.

Thanks again.
