Viewing videos made in Camtasia:

If I make a video recording in Camtasia (Currently have Camtasia 9) and send it to someone, do they have to have Camtasia as well, or will it play in Windows Media or Quicktime?  I'm looking to use Camtasia for a learning resource, but my clients don't have the software, and won't be buying licenses for all their staff to view the videos.

no

but you will have to import your Camtasia recordings into the editor, then just produce to MP4 [view in Windows Media Player], or better yet, MP4 with controller [view in a browser]

you can even set Camtasia Recorder to produce immediately after a capture is saved; you can also share the new video to Screencast.com, etc. if you want
