When I automatically upload my video to Vimeo, I see the following notice in the video's settings:

I would expect Camtasia to be calibrated accordingly, to produce the proper quality video.

Any comments on the matter? Is there a way to change this?

Bit rate is dependent on content, so it can be low if there isn't a lot of color of movement. And other factors as well.

If after viewing you find the quality of your upload lacking, it may need higher output settings. I was assembling what you need to do that so I will share that now.

Vimeo gives recommendations for upload quality for several platforms. Camtasia is not one of those platforms. However, overall the settings are generally the same.

Camtasia doesn’t give you a lot of control over settings to begin with. At least not as much as a program like Premier Pro for example.

Basically what you have are target values to shoot for when it comes to video quality. Vimeo gives you a target bit rate and a maximum bit rate to shoot for. As ridiculous as it is to me they are both identical values. See screenshot below.

Profile and level are as follows.

For audio they recommend 320 kbps.

I pulled this information off the Adobe Premier Pro CC recommended settings.

there’s more information there but you won’t be able to apply any of it to Camtasia unless I missed something.

I am curious if your satisfied with the quality of your video.
