Just installed Camtasia 2018 on my Windows 10 Pro VM.  The VM is running on my MacBook Pro under VM Fusion 10.1.2.  Each time I dragged a media file from the media bin to the timeline, Windows would blue screen.  Called tech support.  They will not support Camtasia running in a VM.

I noticed that when I imported a media file from a folder shared by both the Mac and Windows, I received a warning about bringing media in from a USB drive.  I moved the file to a folder in the Windows VM.  This stopped the blue screen of death.

Next problem was that the canvas was black.  The audio would play, but no video.  Turned off 3D acceleration in the display settings for VMWare Fusion.  The video shows up, but is choppy.

I'm going to try some other settings to see if the video playback on the canvas can be improved.  Thought I would throw this out there, in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

Wish that Camtasia for the Mac was at the same level as for Windows.  Not fun having to run a Windows VM just to get the good features.
