Warning for those Upgrading to Camtasia 9

The SCORM Compliant output created when using Camtasia 9 does NOT play on any iDevice!  I have created several courses of varying lengths both with and without quizzes.  I have also followed the guidance provided for previous versions to set the h.264 profile and level to baseline and 3.1 with the frame rate set to automatic.

This seems to be a huge miss by the testers as mobile e-learning is a huge market segment dominated by the iPad and iPhone.

Hi Martin;

Have you opened a ticket with our Technical Support team? Which LMS are you using to store your video? Does it support mobile browsers?

Robert,

Excellent questions.  I use only Scorm Cloud.  As I am sure you are already aware, is is not a true LMS, it is considered by most the standard for testing e-learning.  And, yes they support mobile learning.  Courses developed in Camtasia 8 worked fine.  I am happy to open a ticket on the issue.
