Hello Mike,
I'm sorry, but this feature is currently not available in the Mac version of Snagit.
I would be happy to turn your feedback into a feature request.
While you're here, are you happy with the way the Windows version of Snagit uses the watermark and how it applies it? We would love to hear any feedback you have on this, or any subject.

Sincerely,
Mike Curtis

Hi Mike,

I have a workaround for now, made the watermark transparent and copy it on the picture by hand.

But I really liked the Windows way, mark before snagging a watermark to be used by all snags. Another option is to add it as an effect, switching on/of the watermark.

I liked it in combination with a fixed width and length for each snap and than a fixed sized watermark in it. I used it for 100's of pictures.

Regards, Linda

Disappointed that this has been missed off the mac version.
It's the very reason I bought a license and rushed to install this on the mac.
Such a time saver when making user guides.

Guess I'll have to use Windows...yuk!

Hi.
I just update to the new Mac-Version 4 - unfortunately the watermark feature of the Windows version is still missing. Why?
Or have I anything overlooked?

Regards.

Hi there

Note that I've never been a wealthy person so have never worked with a Mac, but I'm wondering if you could just insert an image on the top most track and adjust opacity as desired to achieve the effect. I might think this would be kind of a "one off" where you would get it inserted, then add it to your library.

Sure, you would have to remember to add it, but it doesn't seem that would be any more difficult than configuring things via dialogs.

Cheers... Rick :)

Hi Rick,
thanks for your response. Of course it is not very difficult to reduce the opacity of a picture to use it as an overlay watermark. Another workaround is to place a picture via the stamp section... by the way, the process to generate custom stamps is also restricted in the Mac version, but this is another task?

In the case of watermark and the windows version, there you can do a batch export for example and you can set a watermark once. This simple workflow isn't possible with the Mac version.

Further on I would like to have an option to set a picture as permanently watermark or as a signature label. This would be very nice and comfortable. I would like to have this feature, especially for quick and dirty support via mail or remote sessions.

I hope I can clarify my point of view.
Thanks for your interesting.

Regards.
