WAV Imports into Camtasia 9

Firstly I am sorry if this issue has already been reported, I tried to look for a related thread but couldn't see one.

I am trying to import some voice recorded WAV files into a project but every time I do it tells me the format couldn't be supported or the required codecs can not be found.

I am slightly confused as to why as on most threads I have seen on this page, WAV files are the media type that is supported by Camtasia 9 so I am just wondering if I am doing something wrong? The files were recorded on a Dictaphone and then uploaded onto a computer.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Kind regards

Hi Diane;

Not all WAV files are created equally; it could be that the WAV file in use is a 24-bit or 32-bit WAV file with a higher frequency than the recommended 44.1 kHz. Would you happen to know what the bit-depth and frequency are for the WAV files you have?

Note that for these types of situations we recommend you open a support ticket so our Agents can work with you directly to address your issue.
