Web-based training module

I'm creating a Web-based Training Module on Camtasia. Are you able to make the content interactive? I want to make the student have to do what I just showed them in the lesson. For example, after showing them how to fill out a form, I want them to enter the last name of a candidate in the last name box as a first step. If they click the wrong box, I would an animation to remind them of what to do. Thanks!

Unfortunately that's not Camtasia's strong point. Basically, you have just a video. And while you can have an object on the video that pauses playback and allows the user to click, it can only link them to another part of the video or to something externally.

If you want an interactive simulation, you need to explore something like Captivate or maybe Storyline does it too. I know Adobe Captivate makes it a pretty simple process.

I also use Storyline for this. I agree that the first time you implement this you have to put your time into it. After you have done this a few time it's not much complicated and pretty easy to do. Articulate has good manuals and also a great community so there is good help available.

Thanks for the responses! I will most likely go with Captivate as Rick said- I know Adobe Captivate makes it a pretty simple process.

From the rest of your responses, it sounds like Storyline is more complicated. I am working on multiple projects so time it takes to learn is an important factor for me. Thanks again all!

Do you need special permissions to offer coupons and peddle wares in this forum or can anybody do it?

Joe;

Special permissions are not needed to provide users assistance.Rick, like you is a long-standing and valued member of this community and is fully within the community guidelines in providing assistance in this fashion. Were it to be handled different, more like the peddling of obviously suspect software/goods, I would certainly take a different approach to the subject.

Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
