For some reason, Camtasia Recorder 2020 is unable to find my webcam. What more confusing is Camtasia Recorder 2019 didn't have any problem. I thought it was because of the camera privacy setting, but no matter what I did, the problem is still exist.

Hi all;

We understand that this is happening and would like to note that Camtasia, current or past versions, does not officially support virtual cameras. That it used to work was not due to compatibility that we wrote into the Recorder, but rather due to a set of unknown circumstances. As it's not an officially supported method of camera capture there is little that Support can do to help in this situation. We do have this logged in our repository and have had a developer take a stab at it yet was unsuccessful in finding a working solution. Since it is logged we might eventually see the compatibility between virtual cameras like Xsplit, Logi Camera, or other virtual cameras improve, however we are still operating under the fact that USB/integrated webcams are the only officially supported webcameras at this time. If things change we'll be sure to update here, however, any change may be some time out (if a change is made at all).

You might as well record with 2019 and edit in 2020.

Well, that is unacceptable. I've tried, all other program in my PC support EOS Webcam Utilities. Zoom can use it, Webex can use it, OBS can use it, and even Camtasia Recorder 2019 can use it.

Is there any workaround to automatically open Camtasia 2020 after finish recording with 2019's recorder?
