from Google Translate ...

"When I record a webinar, Camtasia automatically shuts off after about 18 minutes! The note too little memory?"

Joe's answer, from Google Translate ...

"This usually indicates that the C drive does not have enough free space to temporarily save the recording. You can save temporary files in settings on a different drive. That could solve your problem?"

Just curious as to why the posts,

Rick stone has done the same on several occasions.

Translated a  post, without bothering to offer any advice or assistance.
Why go half the distance?

Google Translate is a 10+ year old app. You'd be hard pressed to find someone that needs translations handled for them.

Hallo Joe,

danke für deinen Rat! Der war genau richtig!
Aber was für eine Übersetzer App würdest du mir raten?

Liebe Grüße Peter

In cases such as these, my thought is that while I may not personally have the answer that solves the riddle, it is at least hopefully helpful and saves whomever may know the answer the step of having to first translate it.

Suppose you are a forum participant that holds the answer and can help, but because you don't immediately recognize what is being asked, you aren't all that inclined to go find the translation. Not that you are lazy, but just otherwise busy.

I see it as only being helpful.

Unfortunately, it sounds like you choose to see it as an irritation.

Cheers... Rick :)

No, it didn't irritate me at all Rick.

Here's my observation.
Some foreign language posts that get translated. Without offering advice.
Die after translation, without any further responses.

I'm can only assume other members interpret the translation as a "Response / Solution". So they look beyond the posting. It goes without resolve.

I've caught this out of curiosity. When I have time and the forum is slow enough to catch these things.

Today was a perfect example.......kayakman translated this post yesterday. I clicked to see what the problem was.
The only thing posted was the translation. After that, the post remained ignored for 21 hours thereafter.

I posted a response and the original poster responded within the hour.

Your translations are well intended. However, they can have the opposite effect of helpful.
