Hello, we have webm on our list of formats to consider in the future.  A lot goes into our decisions around which file formats to support so I can't guarantee that webm will be eventually included.  Are you able to work with one of our currently supported formats or do you need webm specifically?

Hello
Thanks for the follow up
I can go on without it. Webm files super light in size + automatically play the animation. Therefore they were my 1st choice.
i'll use embedded videos

It is important for websites to have mp4 and WebM formats available for formats.  The browser decides which format it will support.  Plus it's my understanding that WebM has better compression for mobile devices.

Are you hosting your own videos?

Self-host some small ones mostly Amazon S3.  I just purchased your product and was disappointed it was not an option.  Should have researched this prior.   Now I need to convert them with a 3rd party product.

Generally speaking we try to be super limited on format out these days. There are super robust encoding solutions free to paid if that's what you are going for (see Handbrake for a free alternative). Early on in the web it was way more important to support lots of output formats, but these days most sites are transcoding videos into different formats and quality, so they just want something good enough to go through that and look good.

Never say never though. We've been keeping an eye on the market and codec wars. We'll keep you posted on if / when we make a move on this.
