What are the plans for Snagit?

Can anyone chime in with the plans for fixing the disaster that is Snagit 12? Snagit 12 is such an incredible disappointment as a product and such a loss in usability and functionality compared with Snagit 11.

It seems to me that TechSmith has abandoned Snagit and has no apparent plans to fix this. Or maybe TechSmith is working in silence to completely scrap Snagit 12 and go back to building something that works.

I sure would like to hear from TechSmith as to whether or not the Snagit product has been abandoned or if they are working on a completely new release and trashing Snagit 12 completely.

I agree, Techsmith completely screwed a program that was working nicely. It has been more than a year and they have not done anything to fix it. They took away some good features. I have reinstalled version 11.2 and am so afraid of upgrading to even 11.4. They had a 14 year old kid make decisions and delete all the good features of version 11. The complains about version 12 outnumber the good things about version 12. I am hoping Techsmith will come with a version that will have everything from version 11 and than some. We the users are still going to pay for it unless Techsmith admits to their blunder and gives it as a free upgrade to users of version 12.

I have snagit 11.4.3, it works well for what I do, no issues, no glitches, it just works. Had thought about upgrading to ver. 12 but after all the negative comments on it will not even think about it again.

In defense of Snagit 12, I upgraded from Snagit 9 and have no problem with the current UI and features, in fact I like them.  I would be curious to know what features were dropped from Snagit 12, since I missed 10 and 11 completely.  But it would also be nice to hear from Techsmith themselves!
