What .trec Files Are Being Used in My Project?

How can I tell what few video files in Documents > Camtasia Studio are actually being used in my projects? I need to backup my files and I don't need any files that aren't plugged into my project. Also, is there a way automatically clear out this folder of unneeded files? I can't believe going through one by one is the way people manage this kind of thing :p

Thanks!

if you only need the current project's in-use files, then first export the project as a xip; that will package all its files together

then delete all the files in the busy folder, and import the zipped project back into Camtasia

the extracted files folder will only contain the relevant files

and no, there is not other way to clean up unused files

I've often wished for a post-zip "flush" function where all that stuff would get sent to the recycle bin

Hi Winston:  Here is a video I did that shows how to change the default settings in the recorder, so you can decide how you want to save these files and where you want to save them.  It makes it much easier.  I save everything by project and each project has its own folder.  This will help with your future projects, so you don't have to deal with this situation.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WB-vcrg4LYU

Thank you both for your quick responses! I believe this will help out quite a lot for my future needs. I like the way you have your stuff arranged, naomi. I think I'll mimic that for my own workflow.

Thanks again!
