when I choose Start Capture my screen goes blurry

When I open Snagit to my Task Bar, then left click and choose Start Capture, the screen goes blurry. I use Windows 10, and my SnagIt Version 12.4.1 (build 3036) Aug. 14 2015. Once I select the area to capture that area (within the capture area) clears up and is no longer blurry.

Any ideas why the screen goes blurry?

Hi there

Kind of odd that the screen would go blurry. I know SnagIt does manipulate your video output because the screen normally goes grey except for the selection you make. So maybe part of that manipulation is causing yours to blur instead of being grey. 

You might try checking to see if there's any upgrade to your video drivers. If so, apply the upgrade. If not, you have a couple of choices.

1. Just learn to live with it and know that in the end, your capture is clean.
2. Contact Tecsmith Support next Monday and see if they can assist in resolving things.
