I have the trial version of Camtasia 2018 installed and the full version of Camtasia 9. When I upgrade to Camtasia 2018 full version I still want Camtasia 9 installed, how do I ensure this will be the case?

Just don't uninstall Camtasia 9. The 2 programs run independent of each other.

Activating 2018 has no effect on 9.

My experience from doing the update straight from inside an earlier version is that it just triggers the download of the later version's installer; it's never overwritten or uninstalled the current version for me going back several versions now. I can't offer an unequivocal guarantee but Techsmith products tend to be pretty good at side-by-side installation.

Yes, V9.1 didn't remove my v8.6 and neither were removed by v2018. So now I have 3 versions active and usable. I'd take a screen shot of my 3 versions available on my Start button, but when I click capture in Snagit, I lose my Start menu.

Thanks Ed. If you need to capture a menu like that or any on hover option, maybe try using the Time Delay option in Snagit.

DO NOT GO FORWARD WITH 2018, at least not yet. There are major issues. TechSmith has to work out the bugs. Read the forum. There are many, many problems. For some, they haven't been able to revert back to v9. I wish I would have waited.
