When starting a screen recording I get a window with "Waiting..."

When starting a screen recording I get a window with "Waiting..." and it never starts recording.
I do get a window questioning me if I want to keep waiting or give up. When I choose to keep waiting, it goes on waiting forever until I press Alt+Command+2 to stop.

You need to  press the red  button to  start the  recording. Its sounds to  me like you have set the area  or screen and you see a small box Black in colour  with a red button press it a countdown will start 3 2 1 record.

I do press the red button. I have been using Camtasia for a long time. This only started happening a few days ago.

This is what I get when I press the "REC" button:



After a little while, I get this window:



If I choose to Continue Waiting, it never stops waiting.
So, I can only Quit Recorder.
What could be happening?

I live in Portugal and through mail would be easier. Does the help ticket work in a similar way?

The help ticket would be similar to email.  Our support team works from 8am to 7pm Eastern time, so there may be a little lag while it is overnight here, but as soon as they are online, they will respond to you.
