When using Camtasia with the Power Point add-in I can't start recording?

When using Camtasia with the Power Point add-in. I start the recording and PPT goes into presenter mode but I don't see the Camtasia pop-up to start the recording. I am using 2 monitors one monitors as the presenter mode on it and this is what I want so I can see my notes. The second monitor has the Power Point presentation in full screen. So where does the Camtasia record pop-up window go?  Is it my PPT or Camtasia?

In Camtasia 2020 there does appear to be a problem - whether I'm in Presenter mode or not, Camtasia does not seem to show its regular toolbar before recording and it will not record from my secondary monitor.
If I go into Camtasia 2020 and set up a screen record, then move the focus frame over to the secondary monitor and record without using the add-in, I have no problems.
An explanation of 2020's new behavior would be appreciated!

The addin does not work for me in PowerPoint with Camtasia 2020 either. So I returned to Camtasia 2019.

I tried but was unable to reproduce using this version of PowerPoint and Camtasia 20.0.2, which is the current version on our website.  I tried with and without presenter mode, and in all cases, the Camtasia recording toolbar popped up and I was able to record the presentation successfully.

Just to be clear, here's a screenshot showing how I initiate the PowerPoint slideslow from the Camtasia PowerPoint addin.

Here's the version of PowerPoint I have on my system:



There was an issue in Camtasia version 20.0.0 with 32-bit PowerPoint where the Camtasia toolbar did not show up inside PowerPoint.  This was resolved in 20.0.1.

To install the latest maintenance version (20.0.2, as of today), you can download it from here: https://www.techsmith.com/download/oldversions.  You do not need to uninstall 20.0.0 before installing 20.0.2.  Just download and run the 20.0.2 installer.  This will replace the binaries with the latest ones, and retain your user settings.

Note:  As of today, 5/16/2020, the Help > Check for update will not indicate that a new version is available.  The file that signals that 20.0.2 is available is not live yet.  This is being done on purpose to ease the burden on our customer facing teams who are quite a bit busier than normal due to TechSmith's COVID-19 response offer.  Unfortunately, this file controls updates from 2019.x and earlier versions *and* 2020.x versions.  So while we're slowing the flow of new users to 2020 (on purpose), we're also preventing 2020.0.0 users from getting notified when bug fixes are available (an unfortunate side-effect).  Once things settle down a bit, we will publish this file which will advertise the latest 20.x version to all users.
