I'm not trying to move the playhead
I'm not trying to move the media on the timeline

When i am zoomed in (ctrl+scroll), i want to move the timeline left and right because i need to be zoomed in but what i need to see doesn't fit...there is the slider bar at the bottom, but when zoomed in on a long timeline its tiny and impractical to use

some sort of mouse dragging inside the timeline would work, like presing down on the scroll wheel or holding down ctrl while dragging

i looked here and couldn't find it

Click on the tracks somewhere to put focus on them (you don't have to have some media selected)
and try holding the Shift key and using the scroll wheel.

i love you again man.... the best part is how similar it is to ctrl+scroll for zoom!

This shortcut definitely needs to go on that shortcut list!

I'm ashamed i didn't try this cause the CAD software i work for has CTRL for zoom and SHFT for pan!
