When publishing destination is unavailable at the time of publish, the server halts publishing to that destination until an admin intervenes

When the publishing destination becomes unavailable at the time of a publish, the server marks the sFTP destination as inaccessible and never tries again. This requires an admin to login, visit "Publish Account Setup," search for failed destinations, and press "Save" on each destination which failed.

Can the server please recheck the publishing destination upon every new publish? This should alleviate Techsmith Relay from halting every time the publishing site is being patched or rebooted.

Thanks

David,

Thanks for this request.  We have talked about how to make this a warning condition rather than an error condition.  We agree that it would be better if it retried this publishing information in conditions such as the publishing location was temporarily inaccessible for whatever reason.

I have added it to our list for consideration for an upcoming version of Relay.  Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

Sincerely,

David,

I was reminded in our weekly support meeting just a minute ago that we have this change completed and ready to go in our next version.  You can expect to see it in the next release.
