I was wondering if rendering my videos at a lower resolution than the original recording dimensions leads to slower rendering. I record videos at 1366x768 unless if I'm using an external monitor. I'm currently creating a mp4 file from a camtasia recording that is over an hour long with the default preset that has settings for creating 720p mp4s. It's been taking a long time to render, so I was wondering if this is because the original recording is being scaled down. If this is the case I might as well render the video using custom settings with original resolution since it really doesn't lead to a much bigger video file.
