When I create and save a Jing, where is the file stored? I've looked in various folders, but I can't find it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Mark,
Let me try two answers.
My first guess is that somehow your Save button was modified to automatically save to a specific location, no questions asked. Here's how you can check out that Save button: http://www.techsmith.com/tutorial-jin...

If you're asking where Jing stores the autosaved content, that's a little more technical and the answer is here: http://techsmith.custhelp.com/app/ans...

Hope that helps--let me know!

Hi Mark - I'm trying to move my Jing files form my Mac to an external drive and later to another MAC - can you tell me how to do this?  I clicked on the links you provided above, but getting error messages on these no longer being available.  I have a Mac, so the file path is different - Please update and share, thank you.

Looks like that website link isn't working any more. Here's where it is on your computer:
C:\Users\(YOUR USERNAME HERE)\AppData\Local\TechSmith\Jing\DataStore

Also, contrary to popular opinion, you CAN migrate your history to another computer as well, by simply copying the files from that datastore to the corresponding folder on your new computer.

Is there a different location where the history (not saved to a specific location) is stored on a MAC.  I am not seeing it.
