This conversation has been merged. Please reference the main conversation: MenuMaker and version 8 Camtasia Studio

I use MenuMaker to put my videos on CD's or DVD's (depending on file size) and MenuMaker did not come with version 8.

Should I use the Menumaker program from Camtasia Studio version 6? I didn't get version 7.

Thank you

It is still in Version 8 of Camtasia Studio it is just not in the Start Menu for all programs like it used to be. After opening Camtasia Studio 8 you go to the Tools>Studio Tools>Menu Maker will be listed under there and when you click on it that should open up MenuMaker for you. Let us know if this helps or not and thanks for posting. Have a great day.

Hi Fred. Okay, I found it. Now, is this the same MenuMaker that is in Version 6? The reason I am asking is because I have "lots" of different templates that I downloaded and installed with Version 6. If this is the same, then I will just use Version 6.

Actually, I just did that with a couple of videos for my students. There was a problem because my students had problems viewing the MenuMaker video, so I went into HELP and found out the the default for producing an AVI uses a different codec(TSC2) , so I re-producted and changed to the TSCC. Of course, this works in my computer, but will replace theirs and hope it works better.

Obviously this has nothing to do with MenuMaker, but just wanted to add that. Again, if I use the MenuMaker in Version 8, can I install more templates or just use Version 6 MenuMaker

Thanks.

Jan here is a link to a post that has some information on this that might or might not help answer your question. I do not use MenuMaker but, some things have changed between the versions so I would try it and see if it works for you. Let us know and I hope this helps a little.

Fred, I just checked the link above and the information states that MenuMaker in Version doesn't work as well for AVI. I didn't know I could use MP4. Hmmm. Will check that out.
The new version does NOT have many templates, though so I may just continue with Version 6 MenuMaker.

Question for you - Do you put videos on CD's or Dvd's and if so, what format do you use? The reason I was using MenuMaker so the customer could just sit back and it automatically opened for them to click on the subject videos.

Thanks for all your help.
