According to Camtasia Studio 7 the PowerPoint Add-in is installed, When I open PPT 2010 I cannot find any trace of the add-in. I have read through the TechSmith help file and it seems to be located up top with the toolbars------- Where is it hidden? I really REALLY need it.

Do you have the 32 or 64-bit version of PowerPoint installed? The addin does not work with the 64-bit version of PowerPoint.

We have a support article that has tips for getting the addin to work. Alternately, you can just record the way you record everything else on the computer- play the presentation and record with the Camtasia Recorder.

I truly appreciate the rapid, specific, reply. I guess I am forced to skip the obvious value of the add-in since my machine is 64 bit (you guys could have let that info slip in the on-line material). Are the features in the add-in available in the standard record process? I haven't seen them so far - but... Please tell me how I might find a list of some sort that will indicate what other features are not available in the 64bit version?

To tell the truth, it seems more logical that one use a 64 bit (rather than a 32 bit) machine when developing videos/graphics. Is there any hope for the future?

Hi Guys. I have the same problem, and I am definitely on 32 bit (which I chose for compatibility reasons!). I have just upgraded Camtasia, so I expected it to kick the add in to life in Powerpoint. I have tried switching it on in the options, but so far nothing - in fact the option to swithch on the powerpoint add-in is greyed out in my version of Camtasia. Why is that?

I am running Camtasia 7.1.1 and Powerpoint 2010

Any more suggestions?

Definitely to install without uninstalling CS7 CS8 damaged powerpoint recording function, and tried every means to fix it and I find no way, no people Techsmith provides a clear solution and feasible to solve this, because if the screen is recorded the video is very large in size, does not work.

I'm using Relay 4.0/win7/Office 64bit and experience the same problem. No add-in available after install/modify.

Is there no plan to create a version of the PowerPoint plug-in for the 64-bit version of PowerPoint 2010? I find it staggering that I can't use the most powerful software to run as powerful a tool as Camtasia.

I find it preferable NOT to use the PowerPoint plugin when recording PowerPoint.
I set the resolution (in PowerPoint) to 640x480 and and use the Camtasia Recorder to record full-screen. I then create markers based upon Topics not individual slides as is done with the plugin. A marker for every slide is excessive, IMHO.
