So I'm recording and I've got a CAD U37 Microphone (http://tinyurl.com/gv968zf) and am operating on a Dell Optiplex 5040 (http://tinyurl.com/gtntuhn) running Windows 10 (kill me now). I am getting a ton of white noise in the background, even with noise removal:

If I do noise removal past 20, it garbles my voice real bad. I need to get my project out the door, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to solve this. Please help me. I'm out of options and out of time.

I'd have to know a little more about your setup, but there's a few things I'd try by way of troubleshooting.

1. Make sure your microphone isn't facing the wrong way. I know, this seems a little too obvious, but there's been many times with tabletop mics that I've seen people using their mic backwards.

2. Search for "Set up a microphone" in Cortana, and run through the setup wizard. Sometimes the windows software just needs to do a self-check to kill some of that noise.

3. Reduce the sensitivity of your recording in the Camtasia recording module.

If these don't fix it, then you're looking at a more deep rooted issue. Best of luck!
