Why are the gesture effects still not part of Camtasia on Windows?

I use Camtasia and SnagIt at work and at home to create screen recordings for things that would otherwise take a book to explain.  I love these products and how simple they are to use.  Until you want to do something like record the screen of a mobile device.  Then it becomes an excruciating hellscape for WIndows based users.  I am well aware that Mac based users have direct integration and can easily record the screen of their iPhone or iPad.  I am also aware that they get a set of tools that Windows users just dont.  The Gesture Effects.  Now, I know these where originally intended for iOS, but there are also touch enabled Windows 10 machines and there are Android devices.  Please add the Gesture Effects to the Windows version of Camtasia.  Also, anything you can do to make it better / easier for Windows users to be able to capture the screens on mobile devices would be terrific.  Yes, I already use the TechSmith Capture app on my iPhone.  But it still lacks the gesture effects that I need to convey to users what and where to tap, swipe, etc....

P.S.  Yes, I know that there is a "Mobile Gestures" pack in the Camtasia Assets store, but it's behind an additional $200 per year paywall.

There's some gestures I and others have made available.
However, there video files, not  as versatile or easy to use as an actual program feature.

You can take a peak at this post.......https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/gestures-are-now-available-for-the-pc-as-a-downloadable-file

Hi rorw!

Thanks for leaving us some constructive and friendly feedback! We'll definitely take your suggestion under consideration for the future. In the meantime, we decided that making the "Mobile Gestures" you found on the TechSmith Asset Store free would be helpful for all of you trying to make mobile screen video content. So if you head on over to this link, you should find that you can download the mobile gestures free of charge now! If you come up with any cool ways to use them, we'd love to see what you come up with, feel free to share!

Enjoy, and thanks again for the helpful feedback!

Cheers,

Kelly

I am impressed by your response to my post.  Many thanks.  While I will be watching to see when the mobile gestures get added to the Windows version, I will make use of the new asset in my library in the meantime.  Many thanks in advance...  I wish you and your company the best of success.

In general we are moving to support things like gestures as installable assets rather than as a core part of the program, given their usage numbers (low) we don't currently have plans to port that tool to Windows. If there's a particular style you like that you come across please post and we'll look into building them for you. I built the ones that are currently up on the asset store, and am always up for a weekend project.
