Why does Camtasia can't even handle medium level editing and crashes all the time? My PC is really powerful!

Camtasia just keeps crashing when I do a bit more complex editing, especially on the rendering part.

I don't do other tasks because I know it crashes and still same problem. The PC is really powerful and can run any programs simultaneously without problems, but just Camtasia keeps having all shorts of problems.

If by powerful, you're referring to CPU and ram, the biggest impact on Camtasia is the video card.  If you are using a laptop with a GPU that is a part of the CPU, you will have problems.  Before I render a multi-track video, I make groups out of many of the tracks.  Save the project, close Camtasia, reopen the program and then the project and then render.  When you think computer power, think gamer.  My guess is that Camtasia doesn't handle the ram as well as it should and doesn't free up space unless you reboot the program.  But that's just me.  I have a Xeon 8 Core, 32 gig ram and a GeForce video card with 8 gig ram on the card

To expand on what ProfTom has offered ...

Camtasia Studio 8.6 is a 32 bit app; it is thus restricted to using no more approximately 2 GB of process RAM

You can, however, edit and produce large, complex projects, using certain techniques

These tutorials on working with big projects might be useful ...

Thank you both for your help. And yes Tom I have a really powerful video card too, it is an extreme gaming PC.

Question, why grouping out tracks helps? Can I just group the entire project into one or it won't make a difference and I need to do a few of them?
