Why does my Video show a timer in the bottom right corner?

I was starting to edit a video and saw that it had a timer showing in the bottom right corner. I did not ask for that to be there that I know of but it appears to be part of the video. I read a thread that made it sound like I had to do something within Camtasia to get Camtasia 9 to show a timer. I don't want a timer over the top of the video. I've never seen that before but this is the first time I've made a video without audio. What I see is in the addtached .jpg file.

where did the video clip come from?  the clock view looks like you captured part of Camtasia Recorder when you did the capture?

when you set up Recorder [tools/options], you should configure it to minimize Recorder if Recorder will be recorded

Thanks. I recorded the video in Camtasia. I didn't think about needing to minimize the recorder. I expected Camtasia to know to know to not do that. Thanks.
