Have either of you (1) reinstalled or (2) contacted customer support?

Just, I start again with the program ...sometime I turn the computer off (thinking that it could be full ram memory) and it works. But I did not do any thing you told me. I think that we need to talk with customer support.

I talked with customer support for 3 days about this very issue. No resolution. I made my IT give me a new laptop. However, I believe it has something to do with the number of edits (ie how many times you've done a clip speed). The more actions you take on the project, the more unstable it gets. Can anything be done to stabilize the product?

Thanks Tricia to talk with customer support. Yes, you are right, more actions more unstable...this is ridiculous!!! I hope that Camtasia gives us a solution ASAP.

To avoid this one, I began to do short videos...no more that 5 or 6 minutes

My crashing video was about 9 minutes. Shouldn't have happened.

Yes, exactly. I noted that a video over 8 minutes crashs. This is the reason that I try keep them shorter.

Ahhh. But still, these aren't long videos. The software should be stable enough to handle this.

"Often this happens to a single, heavily edited project. Every edit creates more data stored to the .camproj file. After every edit, the .camproj is rewritten and as more data is added, subsequent rewrites take longer. If a .camproj becomes too complex, it can crash.  We normally see crashes occur more often with projects where the .camproj file is above 1MB in file size.  That does not mean all projects that are larger than that will crash, it just means it will have a better chance of crashing as compared to a smaller project."

I find that setting the clip speed to 0.18x causes Camtasia to crash, whereas setting it to 0.2x is fine.
