why no "close" button in camtasia?

Why isn't there a "close" option under "File"???

OR, the option to "select all" of the video in the
timeline?

I do many projects for the same person and I
include the same intro/outro for each video so,
I really don't want to have to start a NEW project
because it removes everything from clip bin.

with lots of edits, it also takes a bunch of time
to delete every piece of video...

Just asking... thanks  Karen

Hi Karen and thanks for stopping by!

Regarding the "Close" function; in its place would the "New Project" option not suffice? Are you looking to keep Camtasia open, without your project loaded? Would the "New Project" function under the File menu suffice?

As for "Select All" if your video content is on the same track, you can right-click on the track and choose "Select all media on track" and all the content on that track will be selected.

See:

I would recommend putting your intro and outro in an organized Library folder and then, when you start a new project, quickly add the intro to the timeline by clicking on Library and then dragging the Intro to the timeline at 00:00. Once you are done editing, head to the Library and grab the Outro and place it at the end. This should speed things up, rather than having to manually delete content and add new content; simply start a new project and add the intro/outro as needed from the Library (note, you can add content, including groups, to the Library by right-clicking on it on the timeline and choosing "Add to Library").

Hope that helps, if not, feel free to let me know if you've anymore questions!
