In version 12 the window title bar showed the date/time stamp for captures that have not been saved. Once the image has been saved, the title of the file is displayed. W/ v13, only when the image is saved is any info shown in the title bar. The date/time stamp only displays if the item is in the tray and you hover over the image. See my pic included. I need that feature to be visible and not require me to move my mouse to gain that info. Why remove it, the windows title bar is very EMPTY!!

Hi Patt - can you tell us a little more about how you were using that information? I'm not 100% sure why it was removed but I suspect it's because it clutters up the window and most users don't gain value from it. Sounds like you do, though, so we'd love to hear more.

Thanks for asking Daniel. Sorry for the delay in replying, work got in the way.

It seems obvious to me. In terms of "clutter" only plays a role if you are looking at a SnagIt Editor window on a tiny mobile device. As you should be able to see, I have PLENTY of room to display this info.

As a power user of SnagIt since v6, I have been disheartened by so many of what seems like senseless changes that have been made to v13. I take advantage of SnagIt's ability to save my images w/o me having to do so. I often need to troll through the active list at the bottom of the screen w/o going to the library. Here's two pics that shows the title bar on my system, one from v12 and the other from v13:

BTW, yet another nitpick, I cannot resize the lower recent file window (of images) in v13 that I could do in v12, as you can see in my pics.

BTW, for those of you lurking, I could take these shots from the SAME system because I chose to install SnagIt v13 w/o removing any v12 content. I close v13 and fire up v12 and away I go. V12 even uses the same library as v13 so it's seemless to switch between. I still MUCH prefer v12 even though I've been trying to give v13 a chance.

Thanks for the additional detail, Patt. And for the additional feedback about the height of the recent captures tray.

We basically rebuilt the editor for Snagit 13 using new, more modern technologies. Some of those small refinements like the adjustable capture tray height didn't make it into the initial version but we have a team dedicated to making frequent enhancements based on the top requests and issues from Snagit customers. So thank you for letting us know these things are valuable to you.
