Windows 10 - Capture Area Issue

Has anyone figured this one out yet?

Yesterday my machine was upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. All has gone well so far but when I attempted to do a capture today I ran into an issue.

We typically do our work in 1280x720. To accomplish this we'll get the window sized appropriately, hit the "Record to Screen" button and select the app. Works fine. But today (post Windows 10 update) my capture is getting a little extra on the sides and the bottom as you can see in the image.

My thought was that it has to do with the currently active windows theme but unfortunately there's no longer a "Classic" to switch to. I also poked around the setting to see if I could turn off that "shadow" and although was able to find the setting it had no effect on this issue.

I have a ticket in with TechSmith but I wanted to also reach out here to the Community.

Please post if you have any ides.

Thanks!

Hey there Eddiebo,

What you need to do is let Camtasia resize your windows for you.

I resized Photoshop CS6  in this example video.

However, the technique works on websites and everything thing else I've tested at this point in time.
