I've just upgraded from win7 pro to win10 pro.  Before I was able to drag recent capture thumbnail (once saved) from snagit to an outlook email I was writing and it was already placed in the attachment bar....  Now I can't do it anymore ????  I WANT THIS BACK.......    any idea? did not find anything on this.  I have V 13.3.1 32b
thank you

Dragging from the recent thumbnails at the bottom of the editor into a Thunderbird email is working
While that doesn't help you directly, it may be an Outlook problem. Not sayin' just it might be that
You can copy all and paste for a work around. I have a profile made that bypasses the editor and reduces the capture to 500 px tall for pasting into emails. You could adjust that to your needs, add a hot key and be back in business
Also, I am using Snagit 2018 but unless someone else confirms in v 13 that may not make a difference

I don't know is I understand you well our you understood me. I don't want to paste it as an HTML  and have the size reduced.  Want to keep detail.  Before, (win7 and same outlook and same snagit Vers.) dragging the thumbnail to the message pane was automatically attach the original file as you do with: insert / attach file/ browse you files and click on it. Which still works by the way but way more hassle to do it like that.  for info, doing that with the win "photos" app or a PDF editor work as it should and like that.  That is why I think it is from Snagit

It is working here with Thunderbird email
Those were possible workarounds. Perhaps someone wusing Outlook can help. You might want to tell us what version of windows and Outlook you are using

I wish I had thundermail or anything that is not outlook... but that is the company choice, personally I don't and will never use it.....

Back to problem, something I just notice.:  when I drag,  the mouse icon have the little "+" next to it. Like I said, it don't appear in the attached as before but I see the file name in :  Insert/Attach file/recent items.     ????

THe little + appears when you are copying not moving. Try it in Windows explorer. Drag something to move it then hold down control while you drag it to copy it somewhere. You will see that little plus sign. WHen dragging into an email all that can be done is copy  hence the + sign. BUt if you don't get that in some programs, don't worry about it.

like I wrote previously,  it work perfect with other software.  From now, I just sat that with snagit.
