Windows AND Mac user pricing

As an existing Windows AND Mac user, I understand that I will have to pay to upgrade to Camtasia 9. However, the price for two upgrades (on both platforms) will likely be the price of a new full licence.

Or, does the upgrade price of one (Windows or Mac) cover the cost of both platforms?

This is a good and fair question. I hope someone at TechSmith sees and responds to it.

I'm not from TechSmith but I thought it was a good question as well. I talked to sales about it.

You only need to purchase the upgrade once. The license will allow you to install Camtasia on 2 separate computers.
So, unless you are needing to use Camtasia 8 on 2 computers. And also install it on a MAC as well. And/Or, the other way around
One upgrade should cover your needs.

At the present time, I have two licences. One for Windows. One for Mac - the Mac licence was bought around 5 months ago. Windows was bought when version 8 updated from v7 and, before that, from v6.

The Windows licence allows 2 installations on two Windows PC's. The Mac licence allows two installations on two Macs. That's four installations in total.

I realise I am probably in the minority here but I'd like to be able to use one paid upgrade to allow me to run it three times - not four. Two Windows and one Mac.

No pricing has been released yet, but does this mean I have to buy two upgrade licences at (approx.) $150 each - total $300?

You can run that by the sales people and see if they will accommodate you.
I'm just use the program.

You can contact the sale team at TechSmith using this link.

I believe pricing was released today for the new version. The new license is cross platform, so you can choose to upgrade either one that you own now.
I believe a license is good for two installations, so if you want 3 It might be worth talking to the sales department now that the product is out just to confirm.
